Funny image boy yelling at father.

STOP Editing Your Videos Slow

This is an excellent run through on the subject of workflow taking you step by step through this persons process.

You may copy some or all of these steps but it is a good look at ways to become more efficient in your editing.

Be warned there is a lot of blah, blah at the beginning with the meat and potatoes not starting until about 4:40 mark of the video.

Make Your iPhone Video Look Like Pro Camera Footage

Just some very basic shooting tips here that although aimed at iPhones actually apply to just about any decent Smart Phone with a good camera.

Be warned though, the tips are kind of buried in A LOT of “look at me and my lifestyle” footage.

4 EASY Editing Tricks to Make Videos More Watchable

Rather than just hacking out the bad bits and uploading to YouTube here are a few ways to make that edit look way better.

These are all very, very simple actions to complete and can be done in any video editing software.

PowerDirector – Beginning Steps in Color Adjustment

I have been editing and processing videos for many, many years now and despite my best efforts I still absolutely suck when it comes to color.

It doesn’t matter whether we are talking color grading or color correction I am equally hopeless at both.

Because of that I tend to very conservatively approach the subject only using the simplest of tools and following the rule that a little goes a long way when it comes to adjustments!

That way my results are not too terrible.

Put Yourself into an ATARI Pong Game – Video Editing FX

How to Write Superscript, Special Characters in Filmora 11

In the video below Jacky only offers the Microsoft Word solution as a way of adding special characters into Filmora text.

That solution is to create the symbol using Microsoft Word (or similar) then copying and pasting into the text field of a title.

That’s fine but actually you can do exactly the same thing by directly typing the code for the symbol into the text area while holding down the Alt. key on your keyboard.

For example you can place the cursor at the point where you want the symbol to appear.

Now hold down the Alt key on your keyboard and enter in 0169 and the copyright symbol (©) will appear.

GoPro Tips: How to Choose the Best GoPro Settings for Your Shot

Been a while since I have posted anything specific to GoPro so given the development over the past year or so it’s probably time!

On top of that it is also a good reminder of why certain settings are used and how they affect the final outcome.

DaVinci Resolve 18 Walkthrough for Beginners

A few weeks back now DaVinci Resolve updated to their latest beta version which is 18.

As a side note they always label their latest version as “beta” pretty much all the way through until the release of the next version!

Not sure why but there ya go! So if you are interested to take a look or were thinking of getting onboard with Resolve then the video below is a great introduction to the software.

Bear in mind that Resolve is a fully fledged professional program designed for handling full blown Hollywood blockbusters.

It is wildly technical and very difficult to get familiar with because of that.

However it is easily at the Free level the most powerful video editing program on the market.
