Although it is always better to have someone on hand to help out with your shooting, that is not always possible.

So in this video you can see some techniques you can easily use to maintain a high standard both in the shooting and the editing.

Cinematic Mode On the iPhone 13

This is a good review and side by side comparison of the new iPhone 13’s strictly from the point of view of shooting video.

The quality offered by many of the new generation smart phones means that they can be used very effectively as a backup device or a run and gun alternative.

Often in life something interesting may present itself to you on the fly and a good smart phone can come in handy to grab those unscripted moments.

Creators Make More Money and Other Updates on YouTube

A few new updates to the YouTube platform for creators have been announced and you can check out the details in the video below.

There is a “translate” feature added to mobile comments on videos so you can interact with commenters from other countries as well as some new metrics to analyze performance.

Vintage Film Effect: 90’s Horror Video! – Wondershare Filmora X Tutorial

Another in the series from Filmora on using preset effects to achieve “looks” from various time periods in film or video making.

This week it’s the 90’s Horror genre so think Blair Witch Project.

Smooth Zoom In! Keyframing in Filmora X – Noise Reduction in FilmoraPro

This is the first Q&A from the guys at Wondershare Filmora for quite some time now!

Good to see that at least some parts of life are returning to normal.

In this episode they cover some basic keyframing for titles, zooming smoothly and noise reduction.

Easy Teleportation Effects in Filmora X

A simple yet very effective technique being shown here.

All you really need is to get the shooting right and the rest is pretty much drag and drop.

PowerDirector – How to use the Smart Fit Audio Duration Tool

One of the new A.I. driven tools that has been added to PowerDirector in version 20/365 this year is the Smart Fit audio duration tool.

In a nutshell the tool can take just about any music track and make it fit perfectly to either an entire project, a sequence or individual clip.

It does this by analyzing the music and working out where to cut it or repeat it to seamlessly arrive at a track of the right length.

It offers few different ways to do it and in the video below you can see it in action.

Remove Background Noise in Your Videos – CyberLink PowerDirector 20/365

Another of the new A.I features in PowerDirector 20/365 that was added is one that allows you to automatically remove background noise.

In my testing it seems to work best when the noise is pretty consistent and sometimes it takes a little tweaking to get it right.

Overall quite a good addition to an already well equipped program.

How to Get More Views on Youtube in 2021

YouTube and other platforms are saturated with content offering strategies to get more views on YouTube.

It is very hard from the outset to work out which ones are actually effective, which ones are pointless and which ones will get you banned!

There are also a lot that may work in the short term but eventually the algorithm catches up with them and before you know it, you are back at the end of the line.

So in the case of the tips below and when evaluating any other tips you must always ask yourself whether what you are doing aligns with what YouTube actually wants.

Day One in Resolve – Tips For Beginners (What I’d Focus on First!)

This is the beginning of a new series by Casey Faris on DaVinci Resolve.

Casey has always been my “go to” guy when it comes to well constructed Resolve tutorials.

With the current version of Resolve being at 17 Casey is pretty much ending cycle on his old courses and tutorials and starting fresh.

So if you have been thinking about trying out DaVinci Resolve but were a little put off by the complexity of this professional video editing software then this would be a great way to ease into it.
