How to Get Views on a Zero YouTube Channel
I wanted to include a couple of YouTube specific video tutorials this week as we are still at the beginning of 2024.
Getting started on YouTube is not too hard these days and there are a ton of videos online explaining how to do that.
However just because your channel is up and you have uploaded some videos you are by no means “set for success!”
When you have almost no subscribers and practically no views it’s all a bit like pushing a car on the road when you have run out of gas.
That initial push is the really hard part and once you get going things tend to get easier (not easy!) from there on out.
Most tutorials for YouTube tend to focus on people who have at least some subscribers and are getting some views.
In the video below they take it down a notch to undercut even that stage and show you what you should be doing.

Quickly Customize Templates in Filmora
Filmora like many other video editing software programs at the consumer level comes with a whole bunch of different templates.
Essentially templates tend to be a preset and pre-designed start, middle and finish of a project.
Using them you can load the template then just add your own assets such as video, text, images etc. then you have a ready made video!
The beauty of templates is that they take over a lot of the repetitive tasks of producing a video and the final result gives you a consistent “look.”
What many people may not be aware of is that although these templates are presented as presets they can actually be edited and saved as your own templates to suit your needs.

Let me be perfectly clear from the outset on this following video.
I do not edit videos on a mobile device and probably never will but then again saying “never” is a big call!

Fusion Nodes Explained With Toast – DaVinci Resolve Fusion Guide for Beginners
One of the major barriers to actually getting into the fusion Page of DaVinci Resolve is that it doesn’t really look or behave like any other part of a video editor.
The reason for this design feature is that the Fusion Page is dedicated to effects and compositing so the linear nature of video editing is not really an important aspect.
As part of the fusion setup you work with what they call nodes and let’s face it, nodes do not really seem to be all that intuitive.
The thing is that once you actually wrap your head around the concept it all starts to make sense.
