5 Filmmaking Tips you Wish you Knew Before

This is a great tips video from the guys at Cinecom showing some really cool tips and techniques that you may not have been aware of.

How to make Spider-Man Multiverse Effects with Filmora | Wondershare Filmora 12

This is a pretty good demonstration of just how far you can take your projects these days with even the simplest video editing software.

Filmora from a technical point of view sits slightly towards the lower end of the consumer market and this is for a very good reason.

It was never built to be on the bleeding edge of things as far as advanced features go but has always been driven by a desire to remain simple and easy to use.

However even within that development framework it has over the years developed some very good capabilities.

These days it is getting less and less important to choose video editing software from the top of the food chain when you take a look at what you can do at the lower levels.

Check out this video to see what you can do with it if you really know it well and can utilize everything it has to offer.

PowerDirector – Introduction to the AI Sticker Maker

So here are a couple videos from the usual suspects on the subject of a very new Beta feature that has recently appeared in PowerDirector 365.

What it seems to be is access to (possibly?) A.I. generated content or at least a very large database of Stickers.

You can then use a prompt to order up a sticker for your project and download.

As is understandable for a Beta feature this one is a bit dodgy at this point in time!

It is very limited, a bit clunky in its implementation and throttled beyond belief!

Maybe we should give it some time before we pass judgement!

How to Add Realistic Camera Shake in DaVinci Resolve Fusion

Although most of the time we are all trying to eliminate camera shake there are times when adding it can be appropriate.

The problem is that if you try to add the shake when you are shooting it is really hard to get just that right amount.

Often you will think it is all OK in the field but when you load it into your editing software it is either not enough, looks fake or is totally over the top.

This brings us to the other place you can add shake which is in your software.

Again there is a problem at the lower end of the market in that a lot of camera shake effects look fake or unnatural.

The real answer to this is being able to craft the shake and control it at a very fine level.

In the video below you can see how to do this in Resolve using the Fusion Page which is a pro level feature you can use in the Free version.

Instantly Replace Accidentally Deleted Files – DaVinci Resolve

Let’s face it the level of control on offer can be a curse at times so it is always a good idea to know how to nope the hell outta any step you take!

Set a Custom Re-Time Speed

Again on the subject of Resolve there are knobs and dials and buttons and tools for ever and ever!

The easy part is understanding that pretty much whatever it is you want to do, Resolve can do it.

The hard part is finding out how as in the video below.
